The Town of Antigonish
Antigonish is a small university town with
a strong Gaelic heritage. Around town you can find large wooden
sculptures in various Gaelic themes.
The Annual Highland Games are held in
July, where visitors can experience Highland music and dancing,
as well as traditional games such as tossing the caber.
Antigonish Heritage Museum is housed in
the former railway station. Here you will find exhibits from the
pioneer days, genealogical records and displays about local
history.
Festival Antigonish is held throughout
July and August and provides great entertainment for adults and
kids alike.
